So the first week run is over. Overall, the week has not been as bad as I expected it to be, but then again, I was psychologically prepared to begin the race.
It really is important to be prepared mentally. Most people when they think of weight loss, they think of something relatively fast. You go on a diet and you lose weight. Then they get disappointed and frustrated when they do not and their weight rebounds. Being prepared means that you understand that one week may not as great as you thought it would be, but you assume it and go ahead.
The first week begins with a loss of 4.5 lbs. (2 Kg.) which is a good way to begin. It is to be noted that I do not feel extremely comfortable because I feel I could have done more exercising. But I take the loss. I also am aware that at some point I will not lose any more weight unless I do exercise (the body has these perks, at the beginning it will assume that something is wrong with the calorie intake; then it will get used to it and magically stretch every single calorie that I eat. It is then when the fun begins). I try to walk with my son and that is okay at the moment, in the late fall, and the winter, I will have to plan carefully an exercise chart so I can keep the loss up.
But, so far the good news are here. The game has just started, and starting well is always a plus.
